*Dorjey of Leh among 25 players to play 1st national level tourney

JAMMU, Dec 30: Jammu and Kashmir Cricket Association (JKCA) today announced 25-member squad including five stand byes players for upcoming edition of Syed Mushtaq Ali T-20 Tournament, which is scheduled to begin from January 10, 2021.
The team will be led by skipper Parvez Rasool and for the first time in history, a player from Ladakh region, Dorjey Kalyan has been inducted in the team for high level tournament.
J&K will play its first match against Karnataka as they have been included in the Elite Group A and the squad will leave for Bengaluru on January 2.
Deputy Chairman LAHDC, Leh Tsering Angchuk said that Dorjey Kalyal brought laurel to the UT Ladakh by getting selected in the J&K Cricket team. “His achievements in most competitive sports of India will inspire the budding players,” he added.
Team: Parvez Rasool (C), Shubham Khajuria, Ahmed Omar Bandey, Qamran Iqbal, Suryansh Raina (WK), Abdul Samad, Puneet Kumar, Dorjey Kalyan, Abid Mushtaq, Shubhman Singh Pundir, Nawaz Ul Muneer (WK), Jiyaad Nazir Magrey, Henan Nazir Malik, Usman Pandit, Ram Dayal, Auqib Nabi, Aamir Aziz, Umran Malik, Mujtaba Yusuf and Umar Nazir and five stand bye players namely: Paras Sharma, Ankush Bandral, Vivrant Sharma, Yasir Ahmed and Adil Rashid.
