JAMMU, Feb 20: Jammu and Kashmir athletes shined in the National Masters Athletic Championship held at Kurukshetra (Haryana) from February16 to 19, organized by Haryana Masters Athletic Association.
The athletes who participated in the championship were Sudesh Basotra, Tarsem Lal Basotra, Anuradha, Gulshan, Ram Raj, Mangal Singh, Rakesh Kumar, Tilak Raj, Adarsh Pandoh, Harbans Choudhary, Ankur Basotra and Parveen Manhas.
Sudesh Basotra won three medals in 60 plus category including silver in 5km walk, bronze in 5km run and silver in1500m run, while Anuradha in 45 plus category won two medals including 10km run-silver and 5km run-bronze and Mangat Singh won silver 1500m and gold in relay in 40 plus category.
Rakesh Kumar won bronze in 800m run, gold in hurdle race and silver medal in 400m run besides gold in relay, while Ankur Basotra and Parveen Manhas also won gold medals in relay.
