J&K Athletic Association elects office bearers

JAMMU, July 31: Jammu and Kashmir Athletic Association elected new office bearers for the next four years in an Annual General Body Meeting held at Amar Singh Club, here.
Amrit Malhotra, former Chairman Legislative Council was nominated as the patron-in-chief, while Suneel Mahajan was unanimously elected as president and Dr Ashutosh Sharma as vice president.
S. Ravinder Singh (Bubby) will be the senior vice president, while Punit Arora (Jammu) and Rifat Abdullah (Kashmir) will be the vice presidents.
Sharat Chander Singh was elected as the general secretary of the Association, while S. Sarwant Singh, Ajay Sharma, Nirmal Singh (Jammu), Azad Ahmed (Srinagar) were elected associate secretary, treasurer and resident secretaries of the Association.
Vinod K Bhatia (Jammu) and Shiekh Tulal (Kashmir) were elected joint secretaries of the Association.
Executive members included Prof HS Chib, Dr. Anshuman Sharma, S. Gurmeet Singh, Vikas Gupta, Virender Kour, Tanvir Ahmed, Sahil Raina, Tahir Mir, Mohd Yaseen, Mukesh Sharma and Parveen Kumar Bhougal.
Romesh Sharma, senior athletic coach will be the chairman organizing and technical committee, while the members included Sohan Singh, S. Gurucharan Singh, Shamas Din, Tahir Mir and S. Harvinder Singh.
Capt. Murti Gupta was the observer from J&K Olympic Association, while Kuldep Singh Jamwal and Vijay Saraf acted as Returning Officers.
