JAMMU, Jan 7: J&K Bank Academy and Hero Club defeated their rivals in the 12th Christmas Gold Cup Football Tournament, being organised by All J&K Christian Welfare Association at GGM Science College Football ground, here.
In the first match, Hero Club defeated District Poonch FC by four goals to one (4-1). Kartik, Lakshit, Ishan and Vaneet scored goals for Hero Club in 22nd, 26th, 30th and 45th minutes respectively, while Adil Mirza was the goal scorer for District Poonch.
In another match, J&K Bank Academy thrashed District Kathua FC by three goals to nil (3-0). Rajan scored the first goals for Bank Academy in 28th minute, while Adnan and Bhanu netted the other two goals in 36th and 70th minutes respectively.
The matches were officiated by Moon Stephen, Ricky, Rocky, Dil Bhadur, Dheeraj, Menia and Mohinder Kalsi.
