J&K Bank conducts residential training program for youth

SRINAGAR, Nov 19: J&K Bank today concluded first residential training programme for youth belonging to far-flung areas like Daver Gurez and Tulail at its Rural Self Employment Training Institute (RSETI) in Bandipora.
The Bank’s President and Nodal Officer JKB RSETI’s Muhammad Amin Mir presided over the valedictory function in presence of Vice-President and Administrative Officer JKBRSETIs A K Pandita, Zonal Head Kashmir (North) Muhammad Sultan Kaboo, and other seniors officers.
Speaking on the occasion, Muhammad Amin Mir urged the trainees and other participants to take full advantage of the residential facility, get trained in the requisite skill and leave the institute as job providers.
A K Pandita said that the bank has always been a pioneer in upliftment of downtrodden, poor unemployed youth as per RSETI mission. He expressed his satisfaction over the working of RSETI Bandipore.
M S Kaboo also appreciated the Director and staff of RSETI Bandipora for motivating the candidates to participate in the residential program despite of various odd factors. Earlier, Director RSETI Bandipora highlighted the performance of the RSETI Bandipora during the current financial year.
Certificates were also distributed among first batch of trainees who successfully participated in ‘Mehandi Art cum Beauty Parlour Management’ course.
Meanwhile, the bank’s FLCC centre Baramulla conducted an awareness programme at Rural Self Employment and Training Institute (RSETI) Sopore for budding entrepreneurs who received their trainings at the institute. Two entrepreneur-turned-businessmen from Sopore also were present at the camp.
Director RSETI Sopore talked at length about entrepreneurship and its importance to our economic development. Facilitator FLCC Baramulla and LDM Baramulla also spoke on the occasion.
Besides Block Level Bankers Committee meetings for Sopore and Zaingeer conducted by Lead Bank Office Baramulla in RSETI Sopore, the FLCC Baramulla organized many awareness camps in Block Pattan, Singhpora, Kunzer, Tangmarg and Sweeper Colony Noor-bagh Baramulla also.
Speaking at the Noor-bagh camp, Facilitator FLCC Baramulla explained Prime Ministers Jhan Dhan Yojna (PMJDY) in detail to the audience.
