SRINAGAR, Sept 16: J&K Bank today nominated its football team for participation in the ongoing Mufti Mohammad Mohammad Sayeed Memorial Football Tournament to be held at Polo ground here from September 20, 2017.
Confirming the participation, Chairman and CEO Parvez Ahmed said that as desired by the Chief Minister, the team had been temporarily revived to ensure participation in the ongoing tournament.
He further informed that the bank was fully committed to overhaul the sports infrastructure of the bank besides nourishing professionalism in the governance of the sports activities.
“A proper Sports culture is essential to nourish the talent and reap its long term benefits”, spokesperson of the Bank said.
Meanwhile, Chairman has already conveyed instructions for preparing comprehensive plan for supporting various sports activities through infra-structural and other support to the deserving.
