SRINAGAR, Dec 11: J&K Bank conducted a DLRC meeting at Baramulla to review achievements under Annual District Credit Plan 2013-14.
The meeting was chaired by the District Development Commissioner (DDC) Baramulla, who advised all the banks and the sponsoring agencies to work with cooperation so as to achieve the goals of district’s development.
Lead District Manager (LDM) Baramulla informed the house that under priority sector the banks have disbursed an amount of Rs 312.99 crore, which includes Rs 159.41 crore to Agriculture, Rs 75.49 crore to Small Enterprises and Rs 78.09 crore to service sector thereby achieving 37.51 percent of targets set in District Credit Plan 2013-14.
The house was informed that 21617 beneficiaries were benefited under District Credit Plan 2013-14 and the total amount of Rs 505.89 crore was disbursed under various schemes.
Under priority sector advances, the district has achieved a growth of 30 percent on y-o-y basis. The agriculture sector has witnessed 47 percent growth on y-o-y basis.
Meanwhile, the bank’s FLCC center in Poonch organized an awareness camp at village Sawjian in Mandi, Poonch, in which a large number of locals participated.
FLCC Poonch spoke about the benefits of bank linkage and urged the participants to open accounts with their nearby bank branches to avail the benefits.
The participants were made aware about the necessity of opening bank accounts in view of the Government policy on Direct Transfer of Social Benefits.
