Jammu, Sept 5: The continuous efforts and persuation to get rid of cumbersome process of getting Life Certificate of the State Pensioners verified from concerned Treasury officers, J&K Bank has accepted the request of the Retired Officers Forum, Jammu to dispense with the old practice and adopt the procedure being followed in respect of the Central Government has borne fruits.
In this regard the Bank Corporate Headquarters, M.A. Road, Srinagar vide circular No 311 dated 27-08-2014 regarding obtaining certificates from State Pensioners, has instructed all its Branch Managers to obtain Life Certificate from the pensioner once in a year in the month of November duly attested by a Gazetted Officer/Bank Officer with Official Seal for disbursment of his/her due monthly pension.
The Forum has complimented the State Government as well as the Management of the J&K Bank Ltd. for their sympathetic consideration and kind gesture to provide long sought for relief to the State Pensioners.
