J&K Bank organises financial literacy camps, customer meet

JAMMU, Dec 27: With a view to educate the rural people, J&K Bank organised financial literacy camps.
In Shopian, the camps were conducted in Saidpora, Posh-hama and Pinjoora, in which large number of local residents participated.
Facilitator FLCC Shopian M A Jan informed the participants about the programme of financial inclusion, while Lead District Manager Shopian M Saleem Wani and Cluster Head Shopian Javed Ahmad Bhat gave a detailed overview of the various schemes available in the Banks for rural areas. They also distributed Kissan Credit Cards among the beneficiaries.
In Bandipora, awareness camps were conducted at Soderkote Bala, Shahgund, Malangam, Pazalpora and Higher Secondary School Hajin in Bandipora.
Officers from FLCC Bandipore explained in detail the benefit of savings with the banks.
A financial literacy camp was organised at Government High School, Gingle in Uri Civil, where Facilitator FLCC Baramulla, Head, Branch Unit, Uri Civil and LDM Baramulla explained the role played by lead bank in introducing various people friendly schemes.
Meanwhile, J&K Bank organised a “Customer Meet” at Branch Unit Nallamar, which was attended by a group of customers ranging from traders community to general depositors.
Bank’s Vice President, Kashmir (Central) Vaqar-ul-Nazki chaired the meeting, during which participants voiced their concerns and made few suggestions for further improvement of the services at the BU.
Regarding the settlement of remission cases, Vice President reiterated that the Bank duly takes into the consideration all the parameters before disposing off any such cases.
Among others who spoke were president, Traders Federation Nazir Ahmad, president Jewelers Association Saraf Kadal, Baha-ud-Din Zargar, Umer Muzaffar Gani and Bashir Ahmad.
