J&K Bank staff provides additional relief to kin of slain, injured guards

Srinagar, Jan 23: Going further than expression of sympathy for the deceased and injured guards of J&K Bank Cash Van that was attacked last month at Poju Keller in Shopian, the staff of the bank’s Zonal Office South (I&II) contributed an amount of Rs 3,22,645  towards the welfare of the affected families.
The bank’s Zonal Head Kashmir South Pulwama Tasaduq Ahmad Dar distributed an amount of Rs 1 lakh each among the family members of the deceased namely Mushtaq Ahmad Shah and Tariq Ahmad Bhat in presence of Cluster Heads Muzaffar Ahmad Qadri, Mohammad Aslam Ganie, Mohammad Amin Wagay and other officials of the bank.
With a view to support the families in distress, the other injured persons namely Arif Rasool Mir, Hilal Ahmad Ganie and Majid Altaf Bhat were also provided some relief amount on humanitarian basis.
Notably, last month, the bank has already appointed the kin of deceased guards in the incident besides providing cash certificates worth Rs 10 lakh each to the bereaved families.
