SRINAGAR, July 28: Winning their respective semifinal clashes today, J&K Bank and JK SPDC sealed berth in the finals of the ongoing 16th J&K Police Martyrs Memorial Football Tournament-2018 and will lock horns against each others at Synthetic Turf, TRC Ground, here.
Earlier, the first semifinal match was played between Lonestar KFC and J&KSPDC XI which was won by J&KSPDC XI by four goals to one (4:1). From J&K SPDC XI, Aqib Mushtaq scored the 1st and 3rd goal, while Shakir netted the 2nd and 4th goal. From Lonestar FC, a solitary goal was scored by Shariq. Aqib Mushtaq of JK SPDC XI was declared as the man of the match for his outstanding performance and was presented a cash prize of Rs 5000 and a trophy. The second semifinal match was played between J&K Police XI and J&K Bank XI which was won by J&K Bank by five goals to four (5:4) in a close contest.
