J&K Bank to take on Kapurthala in summit clash today

SRINAGAR, July 17: The Final match of Police Martyrs Memorial Football Tournament-2012 would be played between Railway Coach Factory (RCF) Kapurthala and J&K Bank at Bakshi Stadium, here tomorrow.
The Director General of Police (DGP), K. Rajendra Kumar along with the other senior police officers today visited the venue to take stock of the arrangements made for the smooth conduct of the final match and concluding function.
The organizing Committee members headed by Inspector General of Police Armed (Kashmir), Rauf-ul-Hassan briefed the DGP about the performance of record number of 56 renowned teams within and outside the State, who participated during the fortnight long Tournament. They disclosed during the Tournament 56 matches were played at different venues viz Bakshi Stadium and Polo-Ground on knock out basis under the rules and regulations framed by All India Police Sports Control Board.
During the visit, Rajendra also enquired about the arrangements made for seating, security, traffic, parking, availability of drinking water, sanitation and police bandbust in and around the venue. He stressed upon the officers to ensure coordination while making the arrangements in a befitting manner and make the event a success.
