Galaxy FC qualifies for final round of Super Div Football League

SRINAGAR, Sept 6: Galaxy FC will lock horns with Jhelum FC in the finals of Super Division Annual Football League, being played on Synthetic Turf TRC, here.
In the 2nd semi-finals match of the ongoing league played between Galaxy FC & Real Kashmir U-18, the former defeated the latter. Both the teams made attacks in the first half, but they couldn’t score any goal and the first half remained goalless.
In the 2nd half Galaxy FC players geared up and made frequent attacks on the opposite goal post and secured a goal in the 43rd minute through Shizan while the young Turks of Real Kashmir FC consolidated their position and made some good moves but could not score due to poor finish. In the 58th minute, Shizan scored 2nd goal for Galaxy FC. The tournament is being organized by J &K Football Association in collaboration with J&K Sports Council.
Meanwhile, in the Khyber Premier Football League-2021 two matches were played at the above mentioned venue wherein J&K Bank XI beat State Football Academy and Downtown Heroes trounced Ali-Jana FC.
In the 1st match, J&K Bank dominated the scene right from the beginning and attacked the goal post to secure the initial goal. It was in the 6th minute of 1st half when Furqan of J&K Bank scored first goal, followed by young Turks of the J&K Bank netted two more goals in 11th minute and 43rd minute through Furqan and Aakif. In the 2nd half J&K Bank team scored four more goals through Adnan, Faisal, Shahid & Toufeeq and registered an emphatic win over their opponents. Furqan of J&K Bank scored two goals and declared as man of the match.
In the 2nd match, Downtown Heroes FC got better of Ali Jana FC by 4 goals to 3. In the first half, Ali Jana FC was leading by 2 goals which were secured by Bismark and Faizan, whereas in the 2nd half, Downtown Heroes FC equalized and scored two goals in succession. Ali Jana FC took the lead again in the 61st minute and Downtown Heroes FC again levelled the scores in the 70th minute.
In the dying moments, Downtown Heroes FC succeeded in scoring one more decisive goal through Shafqat and registered a win over Ali Jana FC by 4 goals to 3. Frank of Downtown Heroes FC was declared as man of the match.
Moreover, in the match between Real Cosmos FC and Nishat FC of ‘A’ Division, the former defeated the latter by 2:0 goals, whereas Haroon FC also trounced Al-Hilal FC by 2:0 goals and the match between Al- Rashid FC and Baghi Hamdan FC remained goalless draw at Gindun Ground Rajbagh.
