JAMMU, June 2: J&K Branch of NIRC of Institute of Chartered Accountants of India organized a workshop on GST & issues relating to real estate transactions in Income Tax Act.
CA. Atul Kumar Gupta, Central Council Member, ICAI & CA. Kapil Goel were the guest speakers. In the First Technical Session, CA. Kapil Goel, deliberated at length & addressed the queries of members pertaining to issues relating to real estate transactions in Income Tax Act 1961.
Later on, in the second Technical Session, CA. Atul Kumar Gupta, apprised the members about the various aspects of proposed GST Bill.
It is pertinent to mention that GST bill is pending to be passed in Rajya Sabha & is likely to be implemented across the country including J&K w.e.f 01.04.2016.
Chairman J&K Branch, CA. Anil Sharma, delivered the inaugural address & while welcoming the guests, emphasized on the importance of the topics of the seminar.
CA. Shalay Razdan, Secretary J&K Branch of ICAI, conducted the proceedings & CA. Deepak Kapahi , Vice-Chairman presented the vote of thanks. CA. Vikram Garg (Ex. Chairman) & CA. Sandeep Pachnanda Executive Committee member, along with a large number of Chartered Accountants & officials of from Department of Commercial Taxes participated in the seminar.
