J&K Climbers win five medals

JAMMU, Oct 2: Jammu and Kashmir climbers are proving their mettle in an ongoing 27th North Zone Sport Climbing Championship at Delhi by winning five medals today.
On the second day, Shilpa Charak of J&K won a silver medal in lead Climbing in the women’s category. It was fifth medal for Jammu and Kashmir in this championship and second medal for Shilpa who had won silver in speed Climbing yesterday. The elimination and semi final rounds in other categories in lead Climbing and bouldering are in progress.
While in Men’s Bouldering competition, Arun Deep has entered the final round with five national and international Climbers and is placed at the top position and is thus a strong contender for a podium finish. Similarly, Kashish Bharti has also entered the final round of eight Climbers in lead Climbing and has also qualified for the final round of six Climbers in Bouldering. Ayaana has also done well to secure the fourth spot in a final round of eight Climbers in lead Climbing in the Sub Junior Girls category. The final rounds shall be played tomorrow.
