J&K in command as Kanahaiya scores another ton

JAMMU, Nov 8: Skipper Kanahaiya Wadhawan scored second consecutive century to put Jammu and Kashmir in Command against Haryana in BCCI’s 2-day cricket tournament at Chandigarh, today.
In response to J&K’s 207/10 in 68.4 overs, Haryana were 98/7 in their first innings at stumps on day-1 today.
Earlier, batting first, J&K rode on a sparkling century (112 runs) off 147 balls by Kanahaiya and brisk 24 runs by Abdul Samad scored a decent total of 207 runs in their first innings. Raghav (16), Mujtaba (13) and Musaif (10) were the other contributors.
In reply, Haryana were struggling at 98 for the loss of 7 wickets in 40 overs when the stumps were drawn today. Faheem and Sampark Gupta plotted collapse of Haryana by bowling with nagging line and teasing length. While Faheem took 4 important wickets by conceding 25 runs in his 12 overs, Sampark claimed 3 wickets by giving away 45 runs in his 10 overs.
Haryana is still trailing by 109 runs with 3 wickets in hand.
