J&K concede slender 1st innings lead to HP

MOHALI, Nov 15: Jammu and Kashmir conceded a slender first innings lead of 16 runs to Himachal Pradesh in a 2-day match of Under-14 Boys Cricket Tournament, which concluded here today.
Resuming their innings at 64/1, overnight batsmen Rythem Mahajan and Talha Ashraf were going great guns and took the score to 150 runs, before both fell at quick succession. Rythem scored brilliant 70 runs, while skipper Talha contributed well made 52. After their dismissal, none of the batsmen from J&K could reach double figures except Aditya Sharma (20). J&K managed to score 183 in their first innings, giving Himachal a lead of 16 runs as HP had scored 199 runs in their first essay.
Himachal Pradesh were 36/2 at the draw of stumps on the concluding day today. Both the wickets were taken by left-arm spinner Abhinav Khajuria from J&K.
