JAMMU, Oct 23: Jammu and Kashmir thrashed Mizoram by a big margin of 164 runs in the Balram Tandon Memorial Cricket Tournament at Chandigarh here today.
Mizoram scored paltry 33 runs in the first innings and a meagre 52 runs in the second innings, while J&K declared their first innings at 249/4.
Left-arm spinner Arun Kumar was the star performer for J&K, who took 7 wickets in the first innings by conceding just 3 runs in 8.4 overs and also claimed one wicket in Mizoram’s second innings. The other performers for J&K included Jeevesh Gupta (6 wkts), Rahil (92), Shiva (51) and Arjun Sharma (47).
The J&K team is being accompanied by Zahoor Sofi as Manager, Sameer Khajuria as Head Coach, Muzaffar Mattoo as Fielding Coach, Amit Bargotra as Strength & Conditioning Coach, Dr Amir Malik as Physio and Danish Idrees as Video Analyst.
