JAMMU, Jan 9: The Jammu and Kashmir Junior Rollball team emerged victorious with a 3-1 win over Kerala in the ongoing 17th Junior Rollball National Championship, held at Kurnool (Andhra Pradesh) today.
The match saw a stellar performance from the J&K team, with the first goal scored by Utkarsh, followed by Dravay netting the second goal. Arnav sealed the win with a third goal, ensuring the team’s success in the contest.
Earlier, 15 members of the Junior Rollball boys’ team were selected after being screened by the J&K Sports Council Screening Committee, headed by Baljinder Singh, Divisional Sports Officer. These players are participating in the national championship from January 8 to 11.
The team also underwent a mandatory training camp starting December 16, under the guidance of Sameer Gupta, with assistance from Manvijay Singh Slathia. The final team consists of Antriksh Gupta (Captain), Shubham Kumar, Anant Aadhar Badyal, Arnav Parihar, Medhansh Singh, Dravay Jamba, Utkarsh Gupta, Hemvati Nandan, Arihant Sharma, Ridham Dubey, Divyakant Mishra, Ahamdeep, Manvijay Slathia (Coach), Sameer Gupta (Assistant Coach), and Rajvinder Singh (Manager).
