JAMMU, Feb 13: Jammu and Kashmir Divyangjan Cricket team defeated Baroda Divyangjan Cricket team by 42 runs and became unbeaten Champions of the series, organized by Divyang Cricket Control Board of India at DPS Ground Gandhidham in Gujarat, today.
The championship was organized under the supervision of general secretary Divyang Cricket Control Board of India, Haroon Raseed along with Ghazal Khan (C.E.O.) and Sham Singh Langeh (Zonal head of DCCBI). They congratulated the J&K team for this big achievement.
In the final match, J&K Divyangjan cricket team won the toss and elected to bat first. Batting first, the UT team scored 157 runs by losing 9 wickets in 20 overs.
Aaqib Malik scored 50 runs, while Deepak Sharma made 34 runs and Sayed Shah Aziz and Romisar Wani contributed 23 & 17 runs respectively. From the bowling side, Imran Malik got 3 wickets, while Hanif Ghori took 2 wickets and Abhinandan, Jayram and Yogesh Shinde shared 1 wicket each.
In reply, the Baroda Divyangjan team bundled out at 115 in 15.3 overs. Imran Malik made 31 runs, while Jepar Kishor scored 25 runs and Vibha and Jayram contributed 11 & 10 runs respectively to the total. From the bowling side, Niyaz Ahmed was wrecker-in-chief who took 3 wickets, while Aaqib Malik and Rajesh Mansotra shared 2 wickets each and Ajeet Raj and Shakoor Bashir clinched 1 wicket each.
Aaqib Malik was declared as man of the match, while Aaqib Malik won the man of series trophy for his outstanding performance throughout the series.
