JAMMU, Jan 29: Fantastic performances from the man of the match–Shubham Singh Pundir, promising natter Vivrant Sharma, Speedster Umar Nazir, gutsy Auqib Nabi and young Sahil Lotra helped Jammu and Kashmir to script a win over Baroda by virtue of the first innings lead and earn three vital points to consolidate their position at the points table to vie for the knockout stage in Elite Group-D of the ongoing Ranji Trophy at Kotambi Stadium, Vadodara today.
Earlier, resuming from an overnight score of 26/0, J&K after early hiccups managed to score 193/7 in 76.4 overs before the match was called off as it was heading for a draw.
Mahesh Pithiya was the pick of the bowlers for Baroda who took 5 wickets by conceding 82 runs in 26.4 overs, while A. Sheth bagged 2 wickets.
For his brilliant marathon knock of 172 runs, Shubham Singh Pundir was adjudged as man of the match.
Pundir, Vivrant Sharma, Umar Nazir, Auqib Nabi and Sahil Lotra emerged as star performers of the match.
