JAMMU, Aug 28: Jammu and Kashmir Speedball team won overall championship trophy in All India Junior Speedball Championship held in Himachal Pardesh, recently.
About 300 student from 12 State of the Country participated in this event, wherein 35 members team from J&K took part under the supervision of Sunny Nanda.
While J&K State won the overall trophy, Himachal Pradesh and Andra Pardesh claimed the second and third place respectively.
Sahil Janjua was declared the best player of the championship and has been selected for the 27th World Speedball Championship to be held at Egypt, while Rhea Tikku claimed bronze in the Championship
The winners included Uditi Verma, Sakshi Vaid, Rhea Tikku, Zulfkar Malik, Sugandh Mehta, Manthan Pandoo, Harsh Sharma, Mrinank Mahajan, Shrea Sharma, Pranay Gupta, Harshvardhan Singh, Shouria Vardhan Billowria, Ansh Dar, Parth Gadoo, Manav Jamwal, Hardik Pandita, Himanshu Bhat, Satvik Gupta, Chetanjeet Singh, Archit Saroha, Sarthak Luthra and Balraj Kumar.
