J&K eves win 3rd place in National Tennis Ball Cricket C’ship

JAMMU, Feb 11: After losing their semifinals against formidable Goa and Vidharbha respectively, Jammu and Kashmir and Uttarakhand were declared joint third position winners in the 23rd Junior National Tennis Ball Cricket Championship at Nagpur in Maharashtra.
The Championship was held under the aegis of All India Tennis Ball Cricket Federation.
Earlier, J&K lost the semifinal to Goa by 8 runs in a close contest. Batting first, Goa scored 38 runs in the stipulated 6 overs, while in reply, J&K managed to score 30 runs in the allotted 6 overs to lose the match by 8 runs.
In another semifinal, Uttarakhand lost to Vidharbha.
The losers of the semifinal battles, Jammu and Kashmir and Uttarakhand were adjudged joint winners of 3rd place in the Championship.
