JAMMU, June 22: Ace Epee Fencer of Jammu and Kashmir, Ajay Kumar has brought laurels to the country by winning Bronze medal in Epee Team Event in BRICS Games at Kazan Russia.
Pertinently, Ajay Kumar has won medals in both the last edition of Senior and Junior National Fencing Championships while representing J&K. Besides, he also represented the Country in many International events like Asian Championship, Senior and Junior World Cups. Ajay Kumar, presently training at NCOE Patiala and a Khelo India Athlete belongs to Reasi district of J&K.
Nuzhat Gul (Secretary, J&K Sports Council) while applauding the efforts of the fencer by winning medal in the prestigious event i.e. BRICS Games, said that the JK Sports Council has left no stone unturned in promoting sports in the UT.
