J&K Forest to take on PDC Blue, J&K Bank XI to clash with J&K Police in semis

SRINAGAR, June 21: J&K Forest will take on PDC Blue and J&K Bank XI will clash with J&K Police in the semis of the ongoing State Football Championship, being organised by J&K State Sports Council and J&K Bank Limited at Polo Ground on June 23 and 24 respectively.
In the first quarterfinal match of the day, J&K Forest stunned J&K Bank Academy by a solitary goal and will now take on the first entrant of the semis (PDC Blue).
In the first half, Shahid of J&K Forest netted the goal in the 22nd minute and raised the scoreboard. The players of J&K Bank Academy failed to equalize the score and the first half ended with 1-0 goal.
In the second half, J&K Bank Academy strived hard to win but failed in front of the enthusiastic J&K Forest team players and thus lost the match with 1-0 goal.
In the second quarterfinal match, J&K Bank XI registered two goals to zero (2-0) victory over AG Office XI and advanced to the semis of the ongoing championship.
In the first half, players of both the teams tried their level best to put the lead on one-another, but could not and the first half ended with no goal.
In the second half, enthusiastic Prem Kumar of J&K Bank XI with his excellent footwork netted the goal in the 41st minute and raised the scorecard to 1-0 goals. In 68th minute, Umar Jan of J&K Bank XI scored the goal in the 68th minute and brought the opponent team under extreme pressure.
After 68th minute, players of AG Office team made several attempts to net the goal but were resisted by the alert goalkeeper of the opponent team (J&K Bank XI), which led to their defeat in the match by 2-0 goals.
