SRINAGAR, Oct 17: Outplaying formidable team of J&K Bank XI in the summit clash via tie-breaker, J&K Forest XI lifted the title trophy of the CRPF Knockout Football Tournament 2015 at Bakshi Stadium, here today.
Though, both the teams played some aggressive football but an outstanding display from goalkeepers Shabir and Arshid  restricted both the teams from scoring goals.
Danish running, dribbling and weaving often had the J&K Forest XI players in trouble, while Rohit,  Rizwan and Towfeeq were energetic forces for the J&K Bank in midfield.
The J&K Forest fans cheered their team to victory in the tie-breaker and gave them a standing ovation at the end as they defeated the rivals by four goals to two (4-2).
Minister for Technical Education, Information Technology and Youth Services and Sports, Imran Raza Ansari was the chief guest on the valedictory function, who distributed prizes among the winners and runner-up teams.
The tournament was organized by Jammu and Kashmir Football Association (JKFA).
Atul Karwal, IG CRPF, Narendra Jaipaul, Commandant 117 Battalion CRPF and Javed Ahmed Shah, Secretary J&K State Sports Council were present on the occasion.
