SRINAGAR, Oct 6: The J&K Forest Football 11 today beat Royal Sports in a penalty shootout to clinch the DCL Football Tournament at Islamic College ground here.
In the allotted time both teams had secured 2 goals each. Later the penalty shootout decided the winner as the J&K Forest Football XI shot two impressive goals against the opponent thus winning the finals by 4-2.
Chief Conservator of Forests Kashmir, Farooq Geelani, District President Srinagar Football Association, Fayaz Ahmad, owner of DCL, Nazir Khan, were also present on the occasion.
The Principal Conservator of Forests CCF Suresh Chugh also congratulated he team for impressive performance in the finals and winning the tournament.
