JAMMU, Oct 7: J&K registered win over Pudducherry in the Girls Basketball Match held today in the 31st Youth National Basketball Championship being held at Indoor stadium, Chandigarh.
Till half time, the match was in favour of Pudducherry, as the score was 21–22, but after half time, the J&K girls’ gave their best and took the score to 42 – 33 and thus won the match. Top scorers from J&K girls’ team were Pearl Sharma who scored 15 points, Sarabjit Kour with 13 points, Aashima Tandon with 10 points and Alisha Uppal with 4 points.
In Boys’ match, the J&K Team brought disappointment, as it lost the match against West Bengal by 11 points. Top scorers from J&K boys’ team were Abhisar with 19 points, Rohan Sharma with 11 points and Indeerjeet Singh with 8 points.
