JAMMU, June 25: Mega Credit-cum-Awareness Camps were organized by J&K Grameen Bank at village Phinder under Branch Office Kirpind and at Village Bain under Branch Office Pangdour, Kathua.
The camps were organized under the chairmanship of Janak Raj Angural to generate awareness among farmers, students and non-farm working groups.
Dignitaries present during the camps were Shamsher Singh, HoD FIID, J&K Grameen Bank, Sahil Sharma, Regional Manager Jammu, J&K Grameen Bank, Lalit Hans, Manager Regional Office Kathua and Samba, Local Sarpanchs and Panchs.
They all sensitized the participants about agricultural developments in banking sector and latest Government schemes. They emphasized that the aim of this awareness camp is to inform the gathering about the benefits of availing Kissan Credit Card and Govt schemes that have been designed to provide security cover to the poor population particularly those working in the unorganized sectors. They advised the people to avail this benefit through nearest Grameen Bank Branch.
On the occasion, sanction letters were handed over by the dignitaries to the tune of Rs 43 lakh during the Mega Credit-cum-Awareness Camps to farmers under KCC.
Navjot Singh Branch Head Kirpind and Uday Singh Branch Head Pangdour addressed the gathering regarding the schemes of the Bank and stressed upon the social security schemes including APY, PMJJBY, PMSBY. In the end, they also presented the vote of thanks.
