JAMMU, Oct 27: After winning silver medal rhythmic gymnastics, a J&K Aerobic Gymnastics team has also won a silver medal in the group event in the ongoing 37th National Games in Goa here today.
The J&K team Gourav Chettri, Parul Mehra, Dhruv Dewan, Laksh Mahajan and Manav Gupta scored 15.65 beating SSCB, Gujarat and West Bengal. The gymnasts also qualified for finals in Individual Men, Individual Women, Mix Pair & Trio events. In the Mix Pair event, J&K Gymnasts Yaadavi and Laksh got fourth position.
These medal winners are the trainees of Gymnastics Academy of J&K Sports Council at Jammu who were trained under the expert guidance of Chief Coach Krupali & Manisha Gupta. President, Gymnastics Association of J&K Er Kiran Wattal was also present during the medal ceremony and said J&K Gymnasts are doing exceptionally well at the national level due to opening of Gymnastics Academy by J&K Administration headed by LG Manoj Sinha. He appreciated the Secretary, J&K Sports Council for enhancing sports infrastructure across Jammu and Kashmir.
