J&K Jr Hockey team leaves for Sonepat

JAMMU, June 2: To participate in 3rd Hockey India Junior Men Hockey Championship to be held at Sonepat in Haryana from June 3 to June 13, 2013, the 18-member Jammu and Kashmir team left from Jammu today.
The team is being led by Abhinandan Singh, while Ali Mohd is his deputy.
Earlier, the screening of the team was held by the office bearers of Hockey J&K in presence of Sports Officer, Ravi Singh from J&K State Sports Council. The office bearers included Rumal Singh, general secretary Hockey J&K, VK Kohli, GS Bakshi, Sukhdev Singh and SP Singh.
Charanjit Singh is accompanying the team as manager, while Jagjeet Singh as coach.
J&K will take on Orissa in their first match on June 5 and will lock horns in the next matches against Tamil Nadu and MP on June 8 and June 9, 2013 respectively.
The team: Abhinandan Singh (Captain), Prabjot Singh, Kushal Deep Singh, Vishal Verma, Tanvir Singh, Pushpinder Singh, Karanjit Singh, Ali Mohd Khan, Jaspinder Singh, Harpreet Singh, Ishtiyaq, Digvijay Singh, Sanjay Singh, Tarvinder Pal Singh, Agandeep Singh, Gurpreet Singh, Charanjit Singh and Ravijit Singh.
