J&K Ju-Jitsu team wins 5 medals in Nationals

JAMMU, Apr 16: Jammu and Kashmir State Ju-Jitsu team won five medals, with 2 gold, 2 silver and one bronze in the 4th National Ju-Jitsu Championship held at Centre for Sports Science, Ramchandra Medical University Campus Poror in Chennai.
The Championship was organised by Tamil Nadu Ju-Jitsu Association, under the aegis of Ju-Jitsu Association of India.
Around 400 players drawn from various States took part in the Championship.
The gold medals were bagged by Ina Dhar and Anirudh Verma, while the silver medals went to Koushal Garg and Ayushi Raina and the bronze medal was claimed by Rajesh Singh.
Meanwhile, Danish Sharma has qualified as national referee in fighting system and duo system, while Harsh Vardhan Raina has qualified in Newaza (Ju-Jitsu event).
The medal winners were honoured by Sujit Kumar, DIG, Jammu-Samba-Kathua Range in presence of Vishal Dhar, Senior Vice President of the Association and Tarsem Sharma, General Secretary.
