JAMMU, Jan 8: The Jammu and Kashmir Karate team, under the banner of the Traditional Karate Association of Jammu and Kashmir, participated in the North West Kai Karate Cup 2025, which was held at Yog Bhawan in Kurukshetra. The event was organized by the Haryana Sports Karate Association.
The Jammu and Kashmir team delivered an impressive performance, winning a total of 16 medals. Sahil Jain, Vikrant, Gourav, Kartik, Mahira and Safwan each secured gold medals. Additionally, Bansh and Rishav earned silver medals, while Mehul, Aashish, Arsh, Aadhi, Avneet, Sahil, Hashim and Hamad won bronze medals.
The team was supported by a dedicated coaching and management staff, with Waseem Ahmad serving as the coach and Manzoor Ahmad as the team manager. Aaftab and Ravi Kumar contributed as referees during the competition. The team’s strong showing at the championship highlights their hard work and dedication to traditional karate.
