J&K Karatekas shine at National C'ship

JAMMU, Aug 14: The team of Amateur Karate Association of Jammu and Kashmir has brought laurels by winning 10 medals in 17th All India Independence Cup National Karate Championship at Talkatora Indoor Stadium, Delhi.
The championship was organized by Karate India Organization (KIO). The Jammu and Kashmir Amateur Karate team secured 10 medals including one gold, four silver and five bronze in the championship.
Shihan Sanjay Tutoo, General Secretary, Amateur Karate Association of J&K and Shihan Ambedkar Gupta, President, North India Karate Association appreciated all the medal winners and other team members.
Akshainie Tikku won Gold medal, Harman Johal, Natiq Nisar Bhat, Astha Chauhan and Gungun Sharma won silver medals. Aarav Aggarwal, Taaksharya Mahajan, Mridul Jamwal , Palvi Sharma and Biyatrees Boban won bronze medals. The team was accompanied by Coach Shihan Rajan Jamwal, Team Manager Priyanka Sharma and Pooja Sharma and Anil Sharma as officials.
