J&K Kickboxing team shines at Nat’l C’ship

JAMMU, Aug 30: Jammu and Kashmir kickboxing team brought laurels by winning 12 Gold, five Silver and six Bronze medals in Wako India National Kickboxing Championship held at Ranchi, Jharkhand.
J&K participated with a contingent of 54 players out of which there were 23 players from the team who clinched medals across various categories and events during the championship. The championship witnessed fierce competition among 26 States and 6 Union Territories from across the country; with an impressive participation of 2500 talented Kickboxers.
“The collective excellence of Wako J&K Kickboxing talents shone brightly as the UT bagged a total of 12 Gold, 5 Silver, and 6 Bronze medals. This remarkable achievement underscores the dedication and hard work of the athletes and serves as an inspiration to aspiring athletes across the UT ,” said Abhishek Jain , General Secretary of kickboxing Association J&K.
Team was escorted by manager Irfan Choudhary and officials Pankaj Kumar and Sudarshan Singh, while coaches were Wasim Shah, Vishal , Deepanshu and Monika Bhan.
