J&K Masters Badminton players shine at National C’ship

JAMMU, Jan 30: Jammu & Kashmir’s Master Badminton players brought home three medals, including two gold and one bronze, from the All India Masters National Ranking Badminton Championships 2025, held in Panchkula, Haryana. The tournament was organized by the Haryana Badminton Association under the Badminton Association of India (BAI) from January 22 to 29.
Balbir Singh Jamwal clinched two Gold medals in Men’s singles and Men’s doubles, earning the number one rank in both categories in the All India Masters Rankings. He has previously represented India in the World Masters Badminton Championships and won a bronze medal at the Sri Lanka Masters in 2024.
Romesh Sharma also earned a Bronze medal in his category. The President and members of the Badminton Association of Jammu & Kashmir congratulated the medalists, highlighting their achievements as a source of pride and inspiration for the region’s young sports enthusiasts.
