JAMMU, Oct 3: JK Montessorie Senior Secondary School organized an activity on the topic ‘Save the Girl Child’ in the school premises, here today.
Various slide shows were presented which emphasized on Education for girls, evils of child marriage, female foeticide, female infanticide and child abuse.
Skit “Save Me” and dance was presented to put across the message.
The last event of the activity was the group discussion, wherein speakers expressed their views on the topic, “Measures to save the Girl child”.
Aakriti Sharma of class 8th bagged the first position, Rohan Anand of class 9th claimed second position and Ramesh Singh of class 10th got 3rd position.
Managing Director of institute, Sanjeev Gupta announced that no admission fee for the Girl child will be charged during Navratras.
Later, chairman of the institute, Prof Mohd Sheikh Ayub distributed the certificates to the winners.
