JK Montessorie Senior Secondary School celebrates Annual Day

JAMMU, Dec 28: JK Montessorie Senior Secondary School celebrated its Annual Day “Sammiliay” at Women college Auditorium Gandhi Nagar here today.
On the occasion, Raman Bhalla Minister for Horticulture, Housing and Culture  was the chief guest, while Tushar Kanti Sharma, Director School Education was the guest of honour and I D Soni State Commissioner of Scouts & Guide graced the occasion with his presence.
The “Sammiliay” began with the ceremonial lighting of the auspicious lamp by all the dignitaries amidst reciting of “shlokas”
The cultural bonanza “Sammiliay” was unravelled by the school Head Girl Shivantika Gupta by her welcome address.
The function proceeded with invocation of Goddess Saraswati—an obeisance to Goddess of Knowledge.
Ramandeep Kour  of class  11th presented the annual report, show casing and broadcasting the accolades and laurels notched by the students of the school in their pursuit for excellence in all fields i.e sports, academic, cultural co-scholastic etc.
The meritorious students of class 12th , class 10th & 8th  were given prizes for their competencies, awarded by the chief guest .
Prominent among others present on the occasion were managing director of the institute  Sanjeev Gupta, Director Academics Mrs Rajni Gupta, Vice-Principal, Mrs Geeta Dixit ,Co-ordinator, Mrs Vandana Gupta,  Henry Don, Vijay Handoo, Pardhuman and principals of different  school.
The conclusion was the grand finale which was the dissemination of different customs and traditions of India. The programme concluded with the National Anthem.
