JAMMU, Nov 27: Three cadets from the Jammu, Kashmir, and Ladakh NCC Directorate have made their region proud by excelling in the Para Basic Course held at the Army Airborne Training School (AATS), Agra.
The cadets from Jammu and Kashmir who participated in this prestigious course include: Anjana Parihar from Government Degree College (GDC), Kishtwar, Tofail Jan from GDC, Doda and Laxmi Devi from GDC, Kathua.
The training included an intensive curriculum, starting with ground training from November 1 to 14, which focused on the fundamental skills required for airborne operations. On November 17, cadets had a cultural visit to the Taj Mahal, which offered them a morale boost.
From November 19, cadets successfully completed both the Ground Training Test and Fan Descent Test. The highlight of the course was the day jumps at Malpura Drop Zone from November 20-22, where cadets demonstrated their parachuting abilities with great precision. During the course, the cadets had the opportunity to interact with Lieutenant General Gurbirpal Singh, DG NCC, on November 19.
