J&K outplays Rajasthan by 28 runs

JAIPUR, Feb 28: Jammu and Kashmir defeated Team Rajasthan by 28 runs in the ongoing Men’s Cricket Under-23 One Day Tournament at KL Saini Stadium, Jaipur today.
Earlier, put into bat, Jammu and Kashmir scored a big total of 285 runs in 50 overs, losing 9 wickets in the process. Wicketkeeper batsman, Samad top scored with 54 runs off 49 balls, studded with 3 fours and 2 sixes, while Musaif Ajaz, Yudhamanyu Singh and Jiyaad Magray contributed 45, 42 and 40 runs to the total respectively. Abid Mushtaq also chipped in with power-packed 20 runs off just 8 balls, with 2 sixes and 2 fours, while Saksham Sharma remained unbeaten on 12 off 12 balls.
From Team Rajastahn, VO Jhohar took 3 wickets, while SK Sharma and SS Dhiwan claimed 2 wickets each. AR Lamba also claimed one wicket.
In reply, Team Rajasthan managed to score 257 runs in 48.5 overs, thus lost the match by 28 runs. AM Gigna top scored with 67 runs, while SF Khan and Sumit contributed 50 and 34 runs to the total respectively.
From Jammu and Kashmir,Irfan Haq captured 4 wickets, while Saksham Sharma took 3 wickets. Skipper Shail Lotra and Abid Mushtaq claimed one wicket each.
With this win J&K earned 4 points, while Team Rajasthan failed to secure any point.
