JAMMU, Dec 13: Jammu and Kashmir Police bagged 8 medals including 1 Gold, 1 silver and 6 bronze in All India Police Wrestling cluster held at Ranchi (Jarkhand).
Khalida Bano of J&K Police Boxing team secured Gold while as Asha Jamwal bagged Silver in 81 Kg weight category. The bronze medals were won by Rajinder Sharma, Rajni, Anju Bala and Stanzin. In Wrestling Roshan and Binya Amin bagged Bronze medals.
The Addl. Director General of Police (ADGP) Armed J&K, Mr SM Sahai congratulated the Jammu and Kashmir Police Pugilists and Wrestlers for their excellent performance in the National event.
He said that all sorts of help in the shape of infrastructure and training would be provided to the sports personnel of the Department in order to excel in various sports. Adding he said “Jammu and Kashmir Police is organizing various sports events and civic action programmes across the State to inspire youth and shape their talent”, he added.
