JAMMU, Dec 8: J&K Police Cricket Club defeated Strikers XI by 3 wickets in a low scoring match of the All India T20- Cricket Championship, being organized by Youth Cricket Club Bhalessa at MA Stadium, here.
Winning the toss and batting first, Strikers XI scored paltry total of 92 runs in the stipulated 20 overs. Akash was the top scorer with 28 runs, while Vikram and Amit Sharma contributed 15 and 13 runs to the total respectively. For J&K Police Cricket Club, Manzoor and Shamsher bagged 2 wickets each, while Ashraf claimed one wicket.
In reply, J&K Police XI chased the target in 17.2 overs by losing 7 wickets thus won the match by 3 wickets. Naresh Kumar top scored with 23 runs, while Manzoor and Khalid scored 16 and 10 runs respectively. Akash took 2 wickets for Strikers XI, while Sahil and Amit claimed one wicket each.
The match was officiated by Sachin Singh and Bablu as umpires, while Virender Singh was the scorer. The Tournament is being held under the supervision of organizers Asrar-ul-Haq and Kulbir Manhas.
