SRINAGAR, Oct 30: J&K Police and Kashmir Avengers FC trounced Downtown Hero’s and J&K Bank XI by a solitary goal each in the ongoing Khyber Milk Premier Football League 2021, being played at Synthetic Turf TRC, here today.
The 1st match was played between J&K Police XI and Downtown Hero’s FC. As the match started, forwards of both the teams started attacking other goalposts to seize an early initiative. In the 10th minute of 1st half, Salman Hussain succeeded to secure an important goal for the J & K Police team. Downtown Hero’s FC tried hard to equalize but failed to do so.
The 2nd half started with an aggressive note and both teams tried hard to find the net but remained unsuccessful. Mansoor of J&K Police was declared as man of the match.
The 2nd match was played between J&K Bank XI and Kashmir Avenger FC which was won by Kashmir Avenger FC by defeating J&K Bank XI by a solitary goal. A large number of football fans had gathered at the venue to support their favourite teams. The match turned out to be a classic one as both the teams displayed their skill and kept their cool throughout the match.
In the first half, both teams attacked each others’ goalposts frequently, but the defence lines withheld the pressure and didn’t allow any goals to be scored. The second half also proved to be mouth watering as no team was ready to give even an inch. In the 75th minute of the match, Kalvin scored an important goal for Kashmir Avenger FC and registered a win over the opponents. Burhan of Kashmir Avenger was declared as player of the match.
The tournament is being organized by JKFA in collaboration with J&K Sports Council.
