J&K Powerlifters shine at International C’ship, win 6 Gold medals

JAMMU, July 5: Haripal Singh Jasrotia (Bablu), an international powerlifter, has brought honors to Jammu and Kashmir and India by winning four gold medals at the World Cup Powerlifting International Championship. The ICC Welsh Stadium in Newport, England served as the venue for the World Championship.
Haripal Singh (Bablu), while speaking to Excelsior, stated: “The eleven-member Indian team competed in the World Cup Powerlifting International Championship and took home nine gold medals.” Two lifters from Jammu competed; I took home four gold medals, and Ajay Sharma, a Deputy Inspector in the Jammu Forest Department, took home two gold in the master category’s DeadLift and Full Meet events. ”
At the World Cup Powerlifting International Championship, “I won four gold medals in the master category in the strict curl, bench press, dead lift, and full meet SBD full power events.”
The prestigious event was organized by the British Powerlifting Federation, World Powerlifting Union, and 100% Raw Powerlifting Federation USA at the ICC Welsh Stadium in Newport, England. There were more than 24 countries that participated in this event. He appreciated India President, Jagpreet Singh, for his unwavering support and encouragement.
