JAMMU, Dec 28: J&K Sports Powerlifting team brought laurels to the State by winning a galaxy of medals in Subrata Classic International Dead-Lift and Bench-Press Powerlifting Championship at Jamshedpur in Jharkhand.
The players who won medals included Rakesh Kumar (gold in Deadlift, silver in Bench-Press and bronze in Powerlifting); Vijay Choudhary (bronze in Deadlift); Pankaj Verma (bronze medal in Bench-Press); Megha Jain (bronze in Deadlift and bronze in Powerlifting; Irvinder Kour (bronze in Bench-Press, bronze in Deadlift and silver in Powerlifting) and Harmeet Kour (silver in Bench-Press and silver in Deadlift).
The team was honoured today at Jammu by the Managing Committee of the Association including Rajan Jain, general secretary, Aditi Sharma, secretary,Vinay Sharma, media secretary, Preet Dutta, joint secretary and Sanjeev, member.
