JAMMU, Oct 4: J&K Private Schools Association held meetings at Gura Kalyal in district Kathua and Majalta in district Udhampur.
Large number of stakeholders and executive members of the central body of the Association participated in the meetings.
The stakeholders expressed their concern over the partial attitude of the Government. They said that the Government has circulated a notification to private schools to ensure safety of students studying in their institutions. The process of obtaining building safety certificate from Executive Engineer, chemical safety certificate by SDM and fire safety certificate by the competent authority of J&K Fire and Emergency Services Department has opened new channels of corruption.
All members from far flung areas urged the Government to issue instructions at Tehsil level officers regarding issuing of these certificates, they added.
They also demanded implementation of the notification in both private as well as in Government educational institutions including tuition centers, tutorials, coaching centers and hobby schools.
Ajay Gupta, State Coordinator, PSA, J&K has appealed to Chairman, Fee Fixation Committee to hold meeting in Jammu and till then date fixed for the submission of data to the Fee Fixation Committee should be deferred.
The prominent present in the meeting were Ram Parkash, Ashok Kumar, Darshan Kumar, DD Khajuria, Satish Kumar, Rann Singh, Ram Kumar, Chain Singh, etc.
