29th Sub-Junior Boys Under-15 and 14th Mini Girls Under-12 Handball National Championship, being organized by the Jammu and Kashmir Handball Association at Sher-i-Kashmir Indoor Sports Complex and Bakshi Stadium, here.
Riding on a fabulous display of shooting skills by Happy who scored maximum 7 goals in the match, J&K prevailed upon UP by one goal with the final score reading 19-18 in favour of the hosts.
In other matches of Sub-Junior boys Section, Gujarat defeated Punjab by 2 goals (26-24), Odisha trounced Tamil Nadu (27-24), Bihar drubbed Assam (31-19), Andra Pradesh outplayed MP (20-19), UP got better of MHA (19-17), Delhi thrashed Assam (21-05) and Rajastan outclassed Gujarat (19-16).
Meanwhile, in Mini Girls Section, Delhi drubbed Odisha by (30-17), Kerala defeated Andhra Pradesh (18-10) and Assam thrashed Gujarat by a big margin of 17 goals (26-09).
