JAMMU, Feb 10: The J&K Rhythmic Gymnastics team clinched a silver medal at the 38th National Games, securing an impressive 231 points in a highly competitive event.
Competing against powerhouse teams like Maharashtra and Haryana, the J&K team showcased exceptional performance. Secretary of J&K Sports Council, Nuzhat Gul, commended the team’s remarkable performance, emphasizing that scoring 231 points in such a competitive field reflects the hard work and perseverance of the gymnasts. Special praise was given to the team members: Muskan Rana, Manya, Vaibhavi Sharma and Jagriti Thakur, whose exceptional efforts contributed to the success.
In addition to this achievement, the J&K Aerobic Gymnastics team has qualified for the finals in several prestigious categories, including Individual Women, Mixed Pair, Trio and Group events, further strengthening the region’s position in national gymnastics.
President of the Gymnastics Association of Jammu and Kashmir (GAJK), Kiran Wattal extended congratulations to the gymnasts and coaches from the Sports Council’s Gymnastics Academy. He wished the team the best of luck for the upcoming All-Round Individual Finals and Individual Apparatus Championships.
