JAMMU, Dec 20: The Secretary, School Education Department, Hirdesh Kumar Singh received the” Best Education Department Award” from President of India, Pranab Mukherjee during the National Energy Conservation Day Award ceremony 2013 held in Vigian Bhawan, New Delhi.
Joyti Radiyta M. Scindhia, Union Minister of State for Power (Independent) was also present at the Award ceremony. National awareness campaign on Energy Conversation launched by the Union Ministry of Power includes Painting Competitions as one of the activity in which students from IVth to IX Class participated in the competition at School level. More than 1.15 lakh students of Jammu and Kashmir participated in the competition. The Education Department of Jammu and Kashmir won the” Best Education Department Award”. The Secretary, School Education congratulated both the Directors, all Chief Education Officers, Principal SIEs/DIETs, Zonal Education Officers and Headmasters. He specially congratulated the students who participated in the competition.
