JAMMU, June 16: The Jammu and Kashmir shooting team secured fifth place in the 21st Kumar Surinder Singh Memorial Championship held at Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala.
The shooting event had started on June 4 and culminated today at Thiruvananthapuram, in which 17 teams from different States and Union Territories, including teams of Army, Air Force and Railway participated to showcase their skills.
In the national level competition, J&K Rifle team bagged two Gold medals and one Bronze medal in the event. Jammu and Kashmir remained at 5th position, whereas, Haryana topped in Medals tally followed by Maharashtra, Army and Andhra Pradesh teams who claimed second, third and fourth places respectively.
